flesh narc is now a full on noise band with no trace of traditional song structure whatsoever. this is total screaming chaos. i would compare this to fat worm of error and wolf eyes.
Narcocosm is the latest from the always-morphing extreme rock/noise/no wave/zolo/electronic band, Flesh Narc. The LP+ was recorded in November of 2019 at Infinite Ohm Studio, Denton, TX, shortly after returning from a one month tour around the entire perimeter of the United States. At the controls and every bit a member of the group was one of Al's favorite fader fingerers and everyone's go-to audio engineer in North Texas, Justin Lemons.
Upon return from the 2019 U.S. Tour, the band drastically changed their style from dense and syncopated double drum extreme rock to stream of consciousness free flowing electronic excursions. This new sound resulted in 4 albums worth of material and a handful of live shows before the coronavirus pandemic halted the live activity of the band. Marginal Frequency and Flesh Narc are proud of the production and to finally release these works that we consider their most bizarre yet.
Flesh Narc shares a singular objective: performing as a group of artists that allow the opportunity to collectively be purged from the constraints of traditional notions and expectations of music in exchange for freedom of expression and release of energy, and creating an entirely unpredictable arrangement of sound and experience. Narcocosm -- and all other performances/releases -- constitute a truth of the self, unbound from other relations or definitions, through some means of human pursuit.

flesh narc's alter ego as an abstract playful experimental sound making unit is on full display here. it's far away from pop music. it's hard to understand what's happening. this is a decent recording of a live sonic event. it's really cool!!! Steven Smith
